Working at the junction of environmentalism, material exploration and storytelling, Nicole Young’s works spark conversations on ways to approach climate justice.

She combines repurposed painted canvas with thrifted and hand dyed textiles. Sewn on the reverse, her pieces appear to be paintings, but wonderful textures and areas of tension created by needle and thread reveal a visual world to explore.
